First Regional Art Show at the Charles County Board of Education
The First Regional Art Show for Charles County will feature the artwork of elementary, middle and high school students in the county. Two Malcolm students, Aolani Perry (fifth grade) and Alexandra Sisson (first grade), will have their art projects on display at the Jesse L. Starkey Building in La Plata from December 12, 2008 through February 27, 2009.
Mission Statement
My mission is to provide inspiration to students by encouraging individual expression and enabling them to reach their creative potential. I will enrich students’ lives with the exploration of art and art history. The skills learned in my class will improve concepts learned in other disciplines, while building an artistic foundation with a range of experiences with different media. Students will gain confidence and motivation to independently create artwork in my class and in the future.

Malcolm's Artsonia page will feature new artwork soon. In the meantime, you may check out the artwork posted last year by clicking on the "View Past Exhibits" link. Don't forget that any purchases made on the site benefit Malcolm's art department. I was able to buy fun supplies like GelFX markers and metallic colored pencils with the money we made last year.
