Malcolm Elementary School's Art Homepage

Fourth grade students are currently working on a self-portrait project for the County First Bank Art Show/Contest. Six entries will be submitted for the show, and a first, second and third place winner will be selected within those pictures. All six students and there families will be invited to a reception at Neal Elementary School on November 19, 2009.

My mission is to provide inspiration to students by encouraging individual expression and enabling them to reach their creative potential. I will enrich students’ lives with the exploration of art and art history. The skills learned in my class will improve concepts learned in other disciplines, while building an artistic foundation with a range of experiences with different media. Students will gain confidence and motivation to independently create artwork in my class and in the future.
